Description
This high-torque Roll-Up Star greenhouse vent winder is a heavy-duty 24V motorised drive designed for roll-up and roll-down ventilation systems. Engineered for larger, heavier vents, it delivers powerful, controlled movement for side and roof vents on commercial greenhouses, polytunnels and other protected-cropping structures.
With a normal operating torque of 90Nm and up to 130Nm at maximum load, this unit is ideal where longer vent runs, higher tension or exposed sites demand extra strength. The low operating speed of around 2.6–2.7rpm provides smooth, steady travel that protects polythene or mesh covers from sudden shocks and reduces wear on fixings and frames.
The winder operates from a 24V DC supply, drawing 3.5A (84W) under normal conditions and 4.8A (115W) at maximum output. A generous 1–55 turn limit range allows it to be configured for a wide variety of vent lengths and greenhouse designs, while the 20-minute MCR rating at normal operation makes it suitable for regular daily opening and closing cycles. The robust metal housing and compact format (approx. 4kg main unit weight) make it easy to mount, integrate and maintain.
