Description
Permanent Anti-Drip & Anti-Fog
Unlike conventional greenhouse films, where anti-fog additives can gradually lose their effectiveness, EnviroPro Diffused features a specialist anti-drip and anti-fog coating applied directly to the film’s surface. This provides permanent condensation control, helping prevent water droplets from falling onto crops while maintaining excellent light transmission.
Advanced 8 Layer PO Technology
Seven co-extruded polyolefin layers combine strength, flexibility and excellent light performance, while an additional specialist anti-drip and anti-fog coating provides long-lasting condensation control. Together, they create a high-performance horticultural film engineered for the demands of modern growing.
Optimised for British Growing
90% Light Transmission
Make the most of every hour of daylight.
Allows high levels of natural light to reach your crops, particularly valuable during Britain’s shorter days and overcast growing seasons.
60% Light Diffusion
More even light, from top to bottom.
Spreads sunlight more evenly throughout your polytunnel, reducing harsh shadows and helping light reach leaves deeper within the crop canopy. Providing optimal growing conditions for most crops in the UK.
High Tensile Strength & Durability
Built to handle Britain’s unpredictable weather.
A strong, durable covering designed to withstand the demands of changing weather conditions, giving you confidence in your polytunnel season after season.
UV-Stabilised for Long-Lasting Performance
More growing seasons from your cover.
Resists degradation from sunlight to help maintain the film’s strength and performance over time, reducing the need for frequent replacement.
Jumbo Rolls of Polythene Available
Need polytunnel film in larger quantities? We can supply polythene in jumbo rolls, ideal for commercial growers who prefer to purchase in bulk and cut their own covers as required.
Whether you’re covering multiple polytunnels or managing ongoing replacement requirements, jumbo rolls offer the flexibility to use the film as and when you need it.
Interested in jumbo rolls or multiple rolls? Call our team to discuss your requirements, available roll sizes and pricing.
FAQs
What do you mean by “Optimised for British growing”?
British growers face a unique challenge: making the most of available daylight, particularly during the shorter days and less predictable weather of spring and autumn.
EnviroPro Diffused Film is designed with these conditions in mind, combining 90% light transmission with 60% light diffusion to strike a balance between letting sunlight in and distributing it more evenly throughout the growing space.
Its permanent anti-drip and effective anti-fog coating also helps prevent condensation from reducing the amount of useful light reaching your crops, while its strong, flexible 180-micron construction is built to withstand the demands of British weather.
What is diffused light?
Diffused light is sunlight that changes direction as it passes through a polytunnel covering, helping to spread light more evenly across the crop canopy and reduce harsh shadows.
Light passing through the film within 2.5° of its original direction is classified as direct light. Light scattered beyond this angle is considered diffused.
EnviroPro Diffused transmits 90% of incoming light. Of that transmitted light, 60% is diffused and 40% remains direct, providing a balance of light penetration and more even distribution.

What does permanent anti-drip mean?
Anti-drip treatment helps prevent condensation forming individual droplets on the underside of the cover, encouraging moisture to run down the film rather than drip onto crops. Anti-fog properties help maintain visibility and reduce light scattering caused by condensation.
Why does permanent anti-drip matter?
When conventional films lose their anti-drip effectiveness, condensation can form droplets on the underside of the cover. These droplets scatter and reflect incoming sunlight, reducing the amount of useful light reaching your crops.
Is EnviroPro Diffused Film suitable for domestic polytunnels?
The film is intended for horticultural polytunnel applications, including domestic and commercial growing. Customers should select the appropriate sheet width and length for their structure and fixing method.
How long will EnviroPro Diffused Film last?
UV resistance for 7 years at 90 kLy/year. Actual service life will depend on local sunlight exposure, installation, weather conditions and maintenance. The anti-drip & anti-fog layer is permanent, unlike conventional films which use additives that migrate to the surface and lose effectiveness within as little as 6 months.
Does the film need to be installed a particular way around?
Yes. EnviroPro Diffused has a specialist anti-drip and anti-fog coating that must face inwards, towards the inside of the polytunnel, to work effectively.
During installation, follow the ‘INSIDE’ label to ensure the film is correctly positioned, and take care not to scratch or damage the coated surface.
Why is EnviroPro Diffused film supplied 4-fold rather than 8-fold?
EnviroPro Diffused features a specialist anti-drip and anti-fog surface coating. Using fewer folds helps ensure the coating is applied and dried evenly, maintaining consistent performance across the film.
The 4-fold format also reduces the number of crease lines, lowering the risk of splitting during handling, installation. It also reduces the chance of splitting along crease, during adverse weather.
What is the difference between clear and diffused polytunnel film?
Clear film allows a greater proportion of transmitted light to remain direct, while diffused film scatters light in different directions. Diffused more light can help reduce shadows and scorching, and improve light distribution throughout the crop canopy.

HOW MUCH POLYTHENE DO YOU NEED?
Our handy guide below is here to help
CALCULATING YOUR SHEET WIDTH
First you need to know the width of your polytunnel.
If you’re not sure of the width or height, you should measure the circumference of the polytunnel (A) and then make the following allowances:
|
Fixing method |
Add per side (approx. |
|
Trenching into the ground |
1m (3ft) |
|
Fixing to a base rail |
0.5m (1’6”) |
|
Fixing to a side rail |

CALCULATING YOUR SHEET LENGTH
Once you’ve measured the length of your tunnel (B) you need to make an allowance for the ends, especially if your cover is fixed to the door frames rather than clipped on to the end hoops.
The width of the structure (C) and the width of the doors are the main considerations. As a general rule when fixing to the door frames you should add 3m (9ft 10in) per end, so for a 6.1m (20ft) tunnel you would order a 12m (39ft) long polythene sheet.
For a 14ft (4.27m) wide polytunnel with single doors at both ends, you would be wise to add another extra metre to be safe.
