Description
The tape uses an aggressive synthetic rubber resin adhesive combined with a cotton scrim carrier, providing excellent tack, peel strength and shear resistance. The reinforced construction also helps improve the tape’s overall integrity and resistance to stretching.
NovaBond SG80 is suitable for bonding a wide range of materials, including metals, low surface energy plastics, fabric, wood, ceramics, concrete, acrylic, polycarbonate, Correx, composite materials and foamed PVC. It is particularly well suited to applications involving fibrous, porous or irregular surfaces and can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Key Features:
- 30mm wide x 50m long roll
- 0.75mm total thickness
- High-shear bonding performance
- Scrim-reinforced construction
- Aggressive synthetic rubber resin adhesive
- Water-resistant
- Flexible and vibration resistant
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications
- Suitable for a wide range of substrates
Application:
For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and loose particles. Apply the tape at temperatures between 20°C and 35°C and ensure firm pressure is applied to maximise surface contact. Bond strength reaches optimum levels after approximately 12–24 hours.
