The RHS has officially opened its new Greener Skills Garden at RHS Garden Wisley, a space designed to help people learn practical, sustainable gardening skills through real hands-on experience. Created as part of the RHS Education and Learning programme, the garden brings together teaching areas, wildlife-friendly planting, water-saving features and dedicated growing spaces to show how sustainable horticulture works in practice.

We’re incredibly proud that a 4m x 7.5m Northern Polytunnels EasyBuild Polytunnel plays a central role in this new hub. Featured prominently in the garden and in RHS project photography, the tunnel provides a protected environment where learners can explore seed propagation, food growing, seasonal cropping and the principles of working under cover, all essential skills for resilient, sustainable gardening.
On its announcement page, the RHS describes the space as “a hub for learning, sharing and discovering the benefits of sustainable gardening.” The integration of a working polytunnel supports that mission, giving visitors and students a practical, year-round environment to understand how temperature, airflow and shelter shape successful growing.

The Greener Skills Garden is a functional, evolving landscape designed to build confidence and capability. Seeing an EasyBuild used as part of that work is something we’re genuinely honoured by, and it’s inspiring to know it will support thousands of learners for years to come.
