FAQs About Polythene Sheeting

What is polythene sheeting used for?

Polythene sheets are used for crop protection, polytunnel covers, DIY projects, and ground cover. Ours are horticultural grade, meaning they’re designed for long-term growing use.

What thickness of polythene sheet is best?

For outdoor growing, always choose thick polythene sheeting (typically 180 micron). This ensures durability, UV protection, and multiple years of use.

How long does polythene sheeting last?

Our sheets are UV-stabilised and guaranteed for up to 5 years — often lasting longer with good care.

Can I use polythene sheeting outdoors all year round?

Yes — our sheets are designed for year-round exposure and will withstand rain, wind, and sunlight.

I’m confident that after four years of use, it still holds up in terms of durability and its anti-drip feature. There’s no noticeable difference between the first year and the fourth. This is particularly crucial for our organic production, as we don’t use pesticides. Thanks to the right climate, we’re able to keep fungicide use to a minimum.
