Strong in Adverse Weather Condtions
Our field shelter is made from 50mm diameter steel hoops, with 32mm bracing bars and a heavy-duty, 100% waterproof, flame retardant PVC coated fabric with a 5 year UV protection guarantee. The framework is made from ArmourGuard Steel, which has been scientifically tested to withstand severe weather conditions without suffering the effects of corrosion. ArmourGuard® is designed not just to survive in the most hostile environments but also to offer extreme longevity. In exhaustive tests carried out by Rotech Laboratories, one of the UKs leading test houses, ArmourGuard® endured the equivalent of 100 years™ exposure to the harshest elements without undue deterioration.
The Field Shelter is secured to the ground using heavy-duty, galvanised steel screw anchors, which provide 4 anchor points up to 0.55m into the ground without the need for concrete or excessive digging. For securing onto other bases ie; concrete or tarmac additional fittings can be provided. Please call 01282 873120 for more details. Please note that a structure is only as secure as its foundations, so please ensure that the space you plan on building your field shelter is suitable for the screw anchors to take hold. Excessively rocky ground will not be able to hold the anchors and this could result in the structure being dislodged by stronger winds.
Free delivery to mainland UK. For delivery outside of the UK, we can arrange carriage at an additional cost. Please see the Delivery link at the bottom of the page for more details.
*Our field shelters have been designed to withstand the typical British weather and have been known to survive adverse conditions. However, we can't be held responsible for extreme weather conditions.
Can't rate this product highly enough.
It has stood up to everything the horses and the Pendle Hill weather have thrown at it!
The horses love it!
We invested in the equestrian field shelter as a bit of an emergency really but am so glad we did. Once it was up the horses didn't hesitate to use it and as soon as we have bad weather they are in it like a shot. It has survived some very high winds so far and barely moves. All in all I'm very happy with our tunnel. The horses love it and it's somewhere for them to go to eat, rest or just get away from the weather be it rain or shine.
