Widths & Heights

All EasyBuild polytunnels use our super-strong 50mm x 25mm flat-sided oval hoops.
Approximate heights (to the ridge) for each width:

  • 2.5m wide = 2.17m high
  • 3.0m wide = 2.23m high
  • 3.5m wide = 2.29m high
  • 4.0m wide = 2.35m high
  • 4.5m wide = 2.40m high

Lengths

Start at 3m, then add 1.5m extension bays to reach the length you need.

The dimensions shown in the illustration are only for reference. Width and length aren’t represented in the drawing.

Foundation and Cover Fixing

⚠ Switching foundation type resets other selections. Check your options afterward.

Ridge Bars*

2 ridge bars are included as standard. Add more for added strength and support.

Ridge Bars

Ridge bars run the full length of the tunnel, adding extra stability and rigidity to the frame. They can also provide a convenient place for hanging baskets, crop support and accessories.

Two 25mm diameter ridge bars come as standard with every EasyBuild.

Crop Bars

Crop Bars

Crop bars (sometimes called brace bars) run across the width of the tunnel, adding extra strength to the frame and creating a convenient point for hanging baskets, containers and crop support.

We use 25mm diameter bars for maximum rigidity and reliable support. Crop bars can also be retrofitted to existing tunnels.

Crop Bar Hangers

On wider tunnels, V-shaped hangers are added to the crop bars to provide additional strength to the overall structure.
They’re not required on 2.5m or 3m EasyBuild models.

Diffused Polythene

Our UV-open diffused film allows up to 89% light transmission with around 95% diffusion.
The softened, scattered light penetrates deeper into the canopy, reducing harsh shadows and promoting even, balanced growth.
Ideal in bright or exposed sites and perfect for ornamental plants.

Clear Polythene

Clear film offers up to 92% light transmission with less than 35% diffusion.
It captures more direct light and warmth, especially useful in early spring and late autumn, helping to accelerate growth, extend the season, and encourage earlier harvests.
Best for fruit and veg growers.

Anti-Hot Spot Tape – Supplied as Standard

Installed where the cover meets the steel frame, this tape prevents heat build-up on the metalwork, reducing wear and helping to extend the life of your polythene cover.

General Guide

  • Growing edibles? Choose Clear.
  • Growing ornamentals? Choose Diffused.
Left Side Vents*

Left Side Vents

Our side vents provide excellent low-level airflow, helping you maintain a more stable and controlled growing environment - especially in warm weather.

The re-engineered vent design includes draught-exclusion panels at each end to reduce cold spots and help retain heat when the curtain is closed during cooler months.

Note: Side vents are only available with the Screw Anchor or Base Plate foundation options.
